Welcome to Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City. Getting here was lucky. Our flight was 50 minutes late out of Manchester and we had only a 55-minute layover. Much to our great luck, the connection in Detroit was also delayed, so we were fine.
New Hampshire was still in the 40s with no leaves on the trees yet. Here it felt much more like summer, at least at first.
This rental car had 3 miles on it when we pulled out of the garage.
We're heading west (more south actually).
A big historic bridge. I would have loved to have spent some time here.
We're in search of dinner in Chickasha, a town enroute to Lawton. Here I'm playing with Lightroom's B&W sliders. Since playing with the sliders produces an effect that looks a lot like noise (but is not affected by the noise reduction feature), I added some grain too.
Dinner found!
Stackable chairs, a freshly-washed table, green Tabasco. It feels like the Midwest here.
"Would you like some bread?" "Yes, please." LOL
I had the sliced beef, curly fries, and corn in butter bath. Jim ordered the pulled pork and curly fries. He was talked out of the curly fries. You'll see why next.
One order of curly fries. I'm glad we weren't allowed to order two!
Home for two nights.
A fairly comfy bed.
Work day morning.
Work day evening. My sad view of this very flat state.
Off to dinner.
Dinner at the mall.
A surprisingly empty restaurant. Sadly, I forgot to shoot my meal.
Jim gave me a nice surprise: a free ride around the town for some evening photography. We saw a number of these as we headed east from the hotel.
These folks are selling Easter baskets.
