Sunset Cruise 2009

This was the 25th time that SGM sponsored a short sunset cruise from Portsmouth. This year, 226 riders boarded the boat. We sailed on July 26. Although we didn't get to the Isles of Shoals again this year, we did go much further up the Piscataqua River than ever before, and I finally got some shots of the General Sullivan Bridge from below. And just like last year, it rained a bit while we were at the dock, but then not again throughout the evening.

  • The food was an experiment and looked like this. Yum. Unfortunately, one of the tables will not have a rubber mat tablecloth, and some of the food will spill onto the floor. Not a sight the cruise chairman wants to see!

  • One of several new riders I hadn't met before. I liked the sense of solitude on an otherwise crowded boat, and of course that shadow.
