Farewell to Veanos
The members of Capital Gay Men have been dining out at Veano's Italian Restaurant most Friday evenings over the past 8 years. On December 12, 2007, they closed, yielding their decades-old prime spot on the Heights in Concord to the forces of progress (the building has been torn down to make way for a Wal-Greens). Our last Friday with them was December 7. We thanked them for 8 years of splendid service with roses, a bigger-than-life card signed by most of the members, and framed certificates of appreciation. It was a heartfelt farewell. Luckily for us, they are moving to another spot and should re-open sometime in 2008.
