Fifty-one of us gathered at the Fellowship Hall tonight...a new CGM attendance record.
Bakers line up with their desserts. You need a faster lens to capture Jeffrey.
Bill is trying to get a leg up on the competition by actually having his bread pudding already served. "Presentation is everything" he said. Smart fellow. Too bad he forgot what a hint of alcohol will do to voters.
Dick is appalled at the pre-serving shenanigan Bill is up to. He's daydreaming about spraying the neatly arranged bowls with chocolate syrup.
I love guys who can ham it up in front of the camera. Bruce here has plenty of reason to be proud of his chocolate chip cookies.
Marty brought his yummy rhubarb upside-down cake. Dick stands at left with his winning entry, "Chocolate Kahlua."
Ron wishes I had photographed his lime cheesecake before he sliced into it. My entry is the rhubarb crisp at right.
Jeff won second place with his chocolate creation which was sadly long gone by the time I got up to the table.
Steve brought a two-layer gold cake with a coconut sweetened condensed milk frosting and whipped cream. Music to my ears. The frosting was a bit runny as you'll see later.
Steve and Jeff are ready to present the awards.
Let's eat!
Second place? Me?
Drumroll, please.
Group shot of all the bakers.
Steve's dessert was very photogenic. Somebody probably licked all this up.
Alas, rhubarb is an acquired taste.
