After Pics

These pictures were taken between July 22 and 24, 2010, two and a half years after the "before" shots. What can I say, but wow? You'll note that there are no photos of the foyer, as that is still under construction. I guess I'll have to come back!

  • That's Rachel, Darren, and Kendra on the steps. Kendra has one of those glow sticks.

  • Massive light collision. That's mercury vapor behind me, fluorescent on the porch, incandescent in the window, and a sodium vapor hotspot to the right.

  • When I was here in 2008, I took a similar shot but never descended the stairs. I didn't repeat that mistake this time. But I don't think that the basement was worked on much.

  • My first viewing of the basement. That space-age looking thing is the pool pump. It runs all the time.

  • This is an amazingly densely-wired house, which all converges at this corner, including a wall of electronics for a walk-in cooler (gray door).

  • The walk-in cooler is a little strange. It has big cracks and the rear wall doesn't appear to be attached. I didn't investigate whether there was anything beyond there. And although it may appear to have working illumination, that light is actually just my SB-900 flash. I love that thing.

  • This is the basement doorway for the dumbwaiter. I took this shot looking down at this location from the kitchen. Sadly, I didn't play with this thing to figure out how it works. There's always next year, right?

  • I almost walked by this thing without realizing what it was. When did my folks turn the basement into a pleasure palace? Ostensibly those handcuffs would be attached to a collar around the passive player's neck. Or, god forbid, a nose ring. This is slightly heavier kink than I'm into. And it's so beyond Peter's idea of fun that he refused to be photographed like this, so he took this shot!
