Jeremy  > New England > Pats v. Giants Preseason Game
In July 2009 my friend Chris won 3 tickets to a Patriots preseason game as part of a benefit auction. There were 3 of us bidding, so after he won, he invited us to go. This was my first attendance at an NFL game. The tickets were not bad either, Section 115 at Gillette Stadium. The weather was perfect, and as it was week 4 of the preseason, our scrubs were playing their scrubs. Still, our scrubs won after a shaky start.

Jeremy > Off we go. Chris (at right) bought the tickets, Mike is driving, and I'm paying for parking. We're departing from Concord, NH at 2:30 for a 7:30 kickoff in Foxboro. Mike is the only one with a Pats jersey.
Jeremy > Two hours, 8 minutes later, we park here. Parking here is $40. If not for the red car in the way, you would be able to see the tailgate party going on ahead. Shame on me for missing this.
Jeremy > Mike had previously seen a game at Foxboro Stadium and said that this was quite an improvement.
Jeremy > The folks in orange want to see what you're bringing in; the folks in green want to see your ticket. I am carrying my D700 with the 14-24mm lens attached. In my hand I will show the remaining lenses: 16mm fisheye, 50mm normal, and 135mm portrait. The 14-24 is the problem: It's too wide (the lens itself is physically too big around). Luckily, I was checked by someone who said that she'd allow it this time but asked that I not use it. I agreed. Turns out, I only needed the fisheye and portrait lenses to get all my shots once I was inside.
Jeremy > Patriot Place has a number of eateries and shops. We had supper here.
Jeremy > Inside the Red Robin. Sadly I didn't get any good shots of our waitress who was about 7 months pregnant. Chris and I had a little bet as to her delivery month. I won for the expected month but everyone agreed she'll probably deliver early. Chris asked her some personal questions that had Mike and I wanting to dive under the table.
Jeremy > This was way better than Cheeseburger in Paradise in Oahu. We asked our waitress if Pats games are the busiest time of year. We thought that it was a silly question. She said no, Spring Break is by far the busiest time.
Jeremy > Warming up the portrait lens.
Jeremy > Now we're inside the fence walking around the stadium with an hour to spare.
