Jeremy  > New England > Halloween 2009
Glenn, Glenn, and I visited the Haunted Harvest at Charmingfare Farm in Candia on Thursday, October 29. Afterwards we decided that that wasn't enough so we went to Nightmare New England in Litchfield. That was much more fun. I took my lightest possible kit for this evening: The D700 and my fisheye lens. Not the best lens for portraits, but great for closeups in dim light.

Jeremy > The Glenns and I are waiting for the next wagon at Charmingfare. The bonfire is nice and warm. The barn behind us is filled with goats and has piped spooky sounds emanating from within. We wonder if the goats react to the sounds like we do.
Jeremy > A perfect moon for Halloween.
Jeremy > It took me a while to show the wagon keeper how to focus the camera, but she held it steady.
Jeremy > No singing required.
Jeremy > Now we've moved on to Nightmare New England. Getting into the haunts here would cost us $30 so we just walk the boardwalk, where we meet several characters like this. The babies really make the costume macabre.
Jeremy > Glenn is smart offering to photograph these folks since they will have to return the favor. Not with my camera, though!

Jeremy > This character's head is almost completely covered...very effectively creepy.
